Note: The Skyjacker Part #'s FA300
& FA500 are OEM replacements.
However, on models equipped with
“Scissor Style” steering found on the
76-77 Ford F100 / F150 & Bronco. The drag link & tie rod assembly will require changing to the
“Straight Style” steering in order to install a drop pitman arm. (See Figure # 3)
Installation:
1. Remove the OEM tie rod from the OEM pitman arm & lower the tie rod.
2. Remove the OEM nut & washer from the output shaft of the OEM steering gear box.
3. Using a pitman arm puller, remove the OEM pitman arm from the OEM steering gear box & install
the new Skyjacker pitman arm using the OEM nut & washer.
4. Attach the OEM tie rod the new Skyjacker pitman arm using the OEM hardware. Note: If you
changed styles of steering, reset the toe-in / toe-out & tighten all tie rod assembly hardware.
5. Retorque all hardware after the first 100 miles.
